find it very hard to trust any BBQ recommendations on here after so many of y'all swear by suckers, which i think is by far and away the worst BBQ I've ever had.

Love the sandwiches and the sauces. Price is very reasonable too. It is now my go-to bbq place.

Glad to hear this. I've been meaning to check out Bushwood for a little while. That baked potato with bbq on top sounds great. Reminds of the Cajun Potato in Houma/Thib

Bushwood is just an idea I had so I got a few friends together and we made it happen. We had some good experience competing at Memphis In May and figured we could give it a try.

The stacks are legit.

Also, I love that tax is included in the price. It makes everything so much simpler.

Their baked beans are, truly, my favorite that I've ever tasted. I know that sounds contrite, but they are. Spicy with a sweet tang to them, with meat in them, too.

Agree that the beans are fantastic.

I like the pulled pork and the wet brisket. Not a big fan of the Q Bowl. It sounded interesting, but just didn't work for me.

I forget about going their though, even though I work very nearby. Gotta get over there more often.

I think the owner is the same guy who owns Team Cuts on Bluebonnet.

Went again today, and was pleased once again. The shredded chicken sandwich is great with their special honey mustard BBQ sauce (not really too shredded, more like chunks of chicken).

The pulled pork sandwich was excellent, and I've had it with a couple different sauces they offer.

Their baked beans are hands down the best you will eat!

Again, I'm very pleased with this place, and will continue to recommend it to people!

Give it a try! (Great, friendly service, too!)

Thanks for the link to the website. For some reason I really like their website. It is concise yet compelling and full of character.

One of these days when I get back to Baton Rouge this looks like a great stop.
