Has anybody checked out Bugs and Brew fest in NOLA before (Mardi Gras World)? Also, does anybody know if you can buy the Cajun Pass on-site, or do you have to buy it ahead of time?

TIA

Well I went last year when it was at Jesuit. I was there with a Homebrew club and got to drink beer for free but had to buy tickets for the crawfish. I believe you could buy the all you can eat/drink the day of as well but I'm not 100% sure on that.

Looks like they're stepping it up big time this year. Some good acts on the stage and in a better location. Of course, the field was nice for letting tetu jr run around.

Eta: I ate some really good crawfish as well as some of the worst. And some people put some weird fruit, veggies, etc in their boils which is nice to see what it's like without having to waste your own time doing it.

Eta 2: the boilers hand out plates with about 1# on them (iirc). Of course with the all you can eat that's a good thing BC you can grab 2-4 plates at different boilers at a time to try.

You can buy on site. I'm here right now. All you can drink canebrake baby, plus tons of other craft beers.

Come by my tent if you want some good crawfish.

About 8k Pounds going down today.
