Easily one of the best places around.

UrbanSpoon

Facebook

I've only been twice, but both times were homeruns. Yesterday I had the Ribeye Steak Philly cheese. It was seriously the best I've ever had.
I'll let the menu explain how it's done.

With the sun on my back and a light 72 degree breeze stirring the old oak tree, it was hard for me to want to leave.

If you're ever in the area, walk up to the window and place you order, you'll be "tree'ed" like family, and you'll be glad you did!

ETA:
Oh and it's BYOB.

For some reason I've never seen or heard of this place.. Looks badass though. Will try it out this week sometime, it's only 4 miles down the road.

yes it is, it's not some fly by night spot.
The two owner chef's are the real deal.

I took my little cup of ketchup back up to the window and asked for just a shot of gravy.
Well he stood there and made a cup of gravy (out of the gumbo roux/stock on the stove) for me on the spot!
I was like wow, damn dude, you didn't have to do that, I just wanted some of those steak giblets, and 'juice'.... he was like nah, man no problem, I'll bring it out to you.

you don't get to go in the old house. all the tables are outside, so pick a nice day.
there's tables in the front, side, and around back by the herb garden, you see them picking, for theirs seasoning.

i don't know where the two dudes came from, but they're doing it right! I told him i'd spread a good word for him.

My gf and I tried to go one Saturday last month before going to Parish, but apparently they are closed on weekends. Ended up down the road at Hook & Boil instead, which we enjoyed.

Maybe not today, but the rest of the week should be good to eat outside.

I've had it on a few occasions. I think it's great. I'd love to be able to go sit out there on a nice day, but I've only ordered to go or had it delivered to Parish.
Egg plant fries amazing. I order them every time.

ETA: That Philly is the best I've had in a very very long time. Thing is legit.

They need to 'team up' with Parish, and do do something cool for the locals....
