Has anyone had the crawfish at Brightside Bar or could recommend another place which has both crawfish and outside seating this evening? I did a quick search and couldn't find anything. Wanted some place I could eat outside as I'm tired of being in the office all day.

Thanks in advance!

I would get crawfish from somewhere else and eat it on your patio if you want to be outside that bad.

Would but a.) no patio at the current place (you have no idea how much this sucks ...God do I hate apartments) and b.) feel like being social (somewhat of the gregarious sort).

Had them a couple of times so far this year and thought they were very good...well seasoned and good size. Better than the ones I had at Sammys this year.

Went last Friday, had $6 pitchers till 6 or 7 and the crawfish start at 5. It was 13.99 for under 3lbs(the trays are small) but compared to Sammys which I had two weeks ago, the crawfish at Brightside where bigger and not as soft and were not season bad at all had a lot of juice.

Brightside is a nesting ground for roaches and rats

Rotolo's has them Thursday through Sunday and they're better than Brightside. Sorry, I know that doesn't help for tonight.

Went last night...should have just got drunk instead.

Got there for about 5 when they started serving and got three pounds to start. Thankfully I was willing to wait to order more...thereby saving myself the additional cash of a second helping of crappy crawfish. Although they were seasoned fine, the texture and consistency blew nuts. Some were marginal at best and some had been so overcooked that the tail meat was inedible.

Was this just an abberation or is this status quo for Brightside?

Lakeside on burbank has them from 4 to 8. They are nicely seasoned. I think they are a little pricey, 3 lbs plus corn and potatoes for 15.99 or 4.99 a lb. But there is a huge back patio if you are looking to eat outside.

had some the other day and they were pretty solid, good seasoning and not overcooked. So i guess it just depends on when you go. I personally like brightside better than sammys as brighside will season them spicier than sammys.

Do they have the same guys continually cooking them? If not, different cooks, like with any food, could be the cause of the different end product. Guess I'll give 'em one more shot as I'm typically hesitant to write some place off after one visit.
