El Rey for a quick drive through option. I'd go double meat and hit up the green sauce

Then there is this place right across the street on Ella. Can be a language barrier but the barbacoa tacos are wonderful

Also Tecate on Ella just inside the loop. Dine in or take out. The chefs plate is also good.

El Rey

I hit the one on Washington often.

Everything I've had there is solid. Get the orange juice too. Fresh squeezed with local oranges.

Chilosos: monster tacos, hand made tortillas in front of you.

Laredo Taqueria on Washington. It is an old converted house. Saturday mornings there is a line out the door. It is he best. IMHO

Perico's, and it's a street down from you.

This place and La Mexicana are my go-to's for breakfast tacos in town.

Although not exactly Oak Forest, but potentially on your commute, Sunrise Taquito...adjacent to the Shell station on Memorial Dr. @ Birdsall. Get the green sauce.

just fyi, the West exit on I-45 north (just past 249 exit) has a shell station that has a full "taco bar", breakfast and meats ... decent enough taco for the price ...
