I've never been but heard some good things & checked out urbanspoon & trip advisor; very good reviews. Any of the F&DB peeps ever been? I so, what do you recommend & what are the "must haves"? TIA.

One of my favorite lafayette restaurants. I got crawfish pot pie and tuna tartar there. Both good

I like the place. Cajun flare that has a little upscale twist to it. It's small and gets busy, so be careful when you go

As mentioned, the whole menu is good. I like the blackened tilapia with side of sweet potatoe mash and braised Brussels sprouts.

Seafood creole Cobb salad is also very good.

Give us a report after you go.

Couldn't they do grouper and probably charge more for a better product? Even puppy drum is a much better option.

Grouper would be better, and I don't know why they don't offer that. Will ask them though. Maybe tilapia is a better profit margin. And I should also say that it is a very sizable filet of tilapia. Grouperishly thick

The blackened seasonings are perfectly paired with the sweet potato mash, almost like a desert.

Almost forgot to mention that for the fish, an herb cream sauce is served on the side.
