I've done my share of googling places and I have found some places up here, but can anyone point me in the right direction. Is there any spot that would taste anything remotely similar to Louisiana boils?

You laugh, but there are many catering companies from south Louisiana that drive up there and boil for bars and events every year.

I did it as far as DC.

LSU does an alumni boil every year usually at a place called the Boat Basin. OBJ has actually gone the last two years

Check the seafood store on 9th Avenue and around 38th or 39th by Port Authority. They always used to carry some fresh crawfish, and I would just use some Zatarain's to boil and season. Expensive by the pound, but they usually always carried them.

I realize the humor in my post. I know it was a long shot request. Figured I'd give a shot though

Blue Smoke will have them soon. Chef is from Thibodaux and boils them.

Call Dean and Delucca 212 226 6800. They have em on ice in the store but they do catering and may be able to help you out, or they can tell you where you can get them.

People in NYC love good Cajun food, but it has to be the real deal or they won't touch it. Enjoy

I go to New York and cook for a large law firm every year. So when I'm there.. it's REAL and it's Cajun.. and they tear it up.

Brooklyn Bowl advertised crawfish last year. Only $35 for 1.5lb of crawfish, potato, and corn.

Maybe this place. Just like home. LINK
