Looking for rec's for a birthday dinner labor day weekend (i know it's decadence weekend).
A few places I haven't been to that i would like to try in no particular order - Upperline, Gautreaus, Restaurant Rebirth, Herbsaint, Coquette.
Last couple of special meals were at August, Clancy's, Pontchartrain Room, Galatoires, Delmonico, Meril.
Any suggestions out of the list I put or anything else i may have missed? We enjoy all types of food, so nothing in particular.
Thanks in advance

I like Commander's and R'evolution for celebrations and the last several meals I've had at Brigtsen's have been excellent.

Gautreaus
Is a damn good spot

Your list is good, but I'd take off Rebirth. Look at Revolution, mr john's/desi vega's, and commander's as well

Gautreaus if it's a small group. Clancys or Patois are tough to beat too.

Leaning toward Gautreaus or Upperline. Would one be better than the other ?

Herbasint is one of the best. Upperline has fallen out so I've heard. Coquette is also very solid
Brigsten's was probably one of the best meals I've ever had.

Any thoughts on throwing Doris in the mix? I'm bringing my wife there for her birthday and really looking forward to it.
