went there a few years ago and it was ok, nothing special really

Also my opinion about Primanti's.

I had their stuff twice and will not do it again, unless we are with someone who has not had it and insists that they must.

(Youngest Son lives there and we get to Pittvegas a lot).

edited to add - however - really good shopping on the strip.

Primanti Brothers wasn't that good in my opinion. I had the corned beef and cheese. The bread was nothing extraordinary. I've had better corned beef at Butcher & Bee, Noshville, Stein's, Katz's, etc. They slaw was dry and their fries they pile on top (which really isn't what I like) were overly greasy and soggy. Just not that great of a sandwich.

You should have gotten the cheesesteak. The greasy fries pair with the coleslaw which pairs with the cheese and the meat perfectly. However, I agree about the bread being nothing special. It's only purpose was to sorta hold the sandwich together. However, the bread being anything more than it is would probably distract from what does between the slices more than it would enhance the sandwich itself.

I'll make my way for the Cuban at some point soon and report...I love Cuban sandwiches but sometimes hard/crunchy bread leaves me unhappy and having a sore in the roof of my mouth
