The roast beef poboy is the numba one poboy.

Then, you sit down, and get a big stack of napkins cuz, you's bout to take a gravy bath. haha

My wife would agree with Radostas. She insists we go there every time we visit NO.

I like Parasols. I agree that Parkway version is bland, I consider it under seasoned and end up adding s&p.
I've never tried R&Os but I've only heard great things.

R&O's is the correct answer, and it's not close.

For years they've always had the best chopped roast beef po-boy.

My all-time favorite sliced roast beef po-boy was at Teddy's Grill on Franklin Ave. in Gentilly. Their gravy was insane, and you know they made awesome po-boys because they were right next to The Po-Boy Bakery (which also made excellent po-buys). Both perished in Katrina, but Po-Boy Bakery is back at other locations in the metro area as Koz's. Who remembers the seafood restaurant across the street? (hint: the namesake owner was murdered there around 2000).

But to answer the question, I would go with R&O's. Bears a close 2nd. Radosta's is good too, but they use different bread now. Their hot sausage is still the best though.

They're no longer there but Mr. E's in Fat City had THE best roast beef in the entire metro area. Damn, I miss them.
