My favorite place for Vietnamese or Thai is Danh's Garden - it's on Youree Drive, close to Kings Hwy. I don't believe they have Banh Mi though, but everything is usually spot on - you can google a menu

Pho Lamour for Banh Mi
I prefer Dahns for pho, although Pho Lamour's is solid as well
they are right around the corner from each other

The pho at Danh's is not as sweet as the pho at Pho L'amour, but Danh's doesn't have Banh Mi- L'amour's Banh Mi is pretty awesome, but I wish they put a little more pickled veggies.

Asian Deli on NorthGate in Bossier has pretty good banh mi. I haven't had the Pho L'Amour banh mi to compare. The now closed Danh's Garden in Bossier had great banh mi. I don't know why the Youree drive Danh's doesn't offer them.
Went to Asian Deli yesterday and had their combo pho and spring rolls. I like the pho at Danh's Garden on Youree better though. They did have rambutan to snack on which was good.

I concur. I think one of the issues with banh mi in Shreveport/Bossier is the lack of Vietnamese bakery to make the proper bread like they do at Dong Phuong in New Orleans.

Asian Deli for banh mi.
Danh's for Pho. I'll try it at Pho L'Amour and even Pho Bowl (Benton Rd in Bossier City)now and then, but I like Danh's best. Danh's used to be closed on Monday. Might better call first if going today.
I've bought banh mi from All in the Phamily a couple times and thought they were decent for $3. That and a pair of spring rolls with peanut sauce for $1, and you have a good cheap snack.

wasn't able to make it out to one today. Tomorrow I'm either gonna try Danhs or Pho Lamore and report back

What are they using? The proper bread is definitely key.

Try Asian Deli. Per The Times, Chef Le "said he receives regular shipments of French bread from New Orleans" LINK

Not this
I think All in the Phamily uses small French rolls. Asian Deli uses large French baguettes. To me, they seem different from the banh mi bread that is served in Baton Rouge and New Orleans.
