Schaeffer's in Bucktown usually has fresh speckled trout, catfish, redfish, red snapper and flounder. Often whole. Then tuna and others frozen.

For fresh local fish we go to Langenstien’s on Metairie Road.
In Kenner, Fisherman’s Cove is hit and miss.
If you want something like sea bass or halibut go to Whole Foods.
