Ronnie's would place 3rd or 4th in the Acadina

we agree on that assessment.

i will disagree that jerry lee's is slightly behind ronnie's. its totally different in my opinion. if you go to places like port barre, krotz springs, plaucheville etc etc etc the flavor and texture is alot different than jerry lees. i like it much better but some may not.

Ronnie's on Florida Blvd

IMO better than Jerry Lees on Cracklins and Smoked Boudin (which JL doesnt have but a + for ronnies)and pretty much even on regular boudin with slight edge to Ronnies (if its not a salty batch). I still say Ronnies has the best Boudin balls in the state though.

Is he the one that's supposed to be cousins with the guy that has best stop?

Thats Ronnies not Jerry Lee's Im not sure how they are related though but the owners of Ronnies are supposedly related to them. Its pretty evident in the smoked boudin and cracklin. However I just find Ronnies a tad saltier than Best Stop on reg boudin. If they hold the salt down though its very very close. Best Stop is what I grew up on so having Ronnies there is a blessing for my fat cells lol..

ronnies cracklins do indeed ROCK.

their boudin is more like my family does it and i am used to that. it is really interesting how different regions of state do the same food a little different.

Ronnies is better than best stop, although I rate best stop second in the scott area alone
