Ancora is the best...anyone that been to the area where pizza was invented would not say differently.

New world: brooklyn, Le dolce vita, delicious

I love how everyone hates on Theo's without offering any criticism. Rohan hasn't even ate there in 2 years. It's definitely not the best pizza in the city but it's good for what it is (a neighborhood eatery). The key is you gotta ask for extra sauce because they usually shortchange you and it makes the crust stand out too much. They have a solid menu and use local ingredients. And you can't tell me this doesn't look good:

Ancora
Domenica
Dolce Vita

For more traditional American pies if you eat in the restaurant:

NY Pizza (thin crust is good)
Theo's - went downhill but has better the last time
Slice
Reginelli's (on the corner of State, only)

I can honestly say that pizza in your hand does not look good. I prefer my pizza to look like this:

I think it's pretty clear you like NY style pizza and not Neapolitan style. Different strokes but I'll take Neapolitan style all day every day.

Agreed. I don't get the love for Ancora. I may give them a second chance but had an awful first experience. Dolce Vita and Domenica run circles around Ancora.

Pizza delicious is top 3 for me along with Domenica and Slice.

Although not a pizza, the Vegan Campanelle at Pizza Delicious is freakin amazing. Pretty good portions for an $8 small plate too.

There's still quite a few I need to try including Mellow since Nik Nik has it as her #1.

Midway number one out of all those places? Even if you prefer deep dish style, they still don't do it very well

Not to mention when we were with Rohan the other week he ordered Magazine St Pizza, so his opinion on all pizza related matters is forever discounted
