Everyone should find a few easy to make great meals to cheat at pot lucks, dinner with friends, etc. I’m great on the grill, but still get stressed out I’ll frick something up and end up not enjoying the night if I cook.
So I found ways to cheat and blow everyone’s mind. One easy one is swinging by the store and picking up something frozen from La Boucherie. They have stuffed tenderloins, sides, etc that are fantastic and hard to frick up. Either pop them on the grill or in the oven for 45 min, plate, and take. You’ll get a dozen people asking for the recipe and think you’re the next Emeril.

Sausage cheese balls.
Bisquick, jimmy dean sausage, and shredded cheese.

This is always a big hit- pretty easy too.
Slow cooker ropa vieja
I bring tortillas so people can make tacos with it. I know it's not authentic to do so, but it's familiar and easy to eat

Hot wings and meatballs are both good options. A giant sub sandwich cut into smaller pieces works well too.

Easy to fix item, slice whole jalapenos in half length wise, insert your favorite flavor of cream cheese, serve as a cold appetizer.

Seems like that would crack a tooth.
Sorry, typo. That should have been pinks in a blanket. Always fun to eat

Exactly. Frozen meatballs in a marinara sauce. Grab some pistolettes and some sliced mozzarella or provolone.

Food from a work potluck falls on my desirability scale right between eating spoonfuls of disgusting mayo and the Ryan's buffet bar after watching a 7yo sneeze all over the dried out roast beef.

We do this at work several times a year, I generally do one of two things per my co workers request.
1) Put a pork butt in a crockpot the night before, then before leaving for work shred it up, season it more, throw it under the broiler for a few minutes. Someone else will bring tortillas, sour cream, salsa, etc.
2) Get up a little early, put a couple of baking sheets of chicken thighs in the oven. 45 minutes, put on some sauce, crank up the heat to caramelize the sauce.
