Best Eats in Venice Area

Have some friends going to film TV show down in Venice this week. I haven't been in ages so don't know the restaurant scene anymore.....Any recommendations I can give them or places to stay away from?
Would this be better on Outdoor Board?

Crawgators, I believe is the name of the restaurant located inside Venice Marina.

the restaurant at the venice marina as mentioned above (can't remember the name either) is pretty good. nothing fancy, but tasty. they do an excellent job of cooking up your catch for the day

There are no good restaurants in Venice. Go to Adams grocery and at least you can get a free cup of coffee with your sub-par lunch.
If you really want to eat well, get some fresh seafood and cook it yourself.

What every body else said. The only descent places to eat are at both marinas. Venice Marina and Cypress Cove Marina. Not much in Venice and even less since hurricane Katrina.

Cypress Cove was pretty good.....get the snapper necks!

I ordered the snapper necks at Venice Marina on Saturday, and never got them.
