What’s your go-to?

I usually go to Waffle House when I’m craving a solid breakfast sandwich. I’m not saying it’s the best, but it does the job. I’m looking for something new to try though.

baton rouge needs a great biscuit type of restaurant that focuses strictly on this type of sandwich and does it really well.

frank's has very good biscuits probably the best in baton rouge, but that isn't their focus and rightfully so.

waffle house serves a biscuit but it is a split biscuit frozen and then grilled. not bad, but not homemade either.

even ruby slipper doesn't make their own in-house biscuits.

La Divina has a damn fine Italian sausage biscuit.

Not sure if that's a "sandwich".

A Dewey from Sharon’s on Plank Rd is always solid.

Upvoting for The Vintage and Cafe Mimi, especially the latter. Their breakfast biscuits are amazing.

Not BR technically, but if you're in Port Allen or Brusly Spillway Sportsman has some good breakfast food. Nothing fancy, just good.

SO good. I just looked at the clock after posting to see if I could walk down for one, but sadly its later than I thought.

I recently starting working downtown again after a long hiatus from the downtown area and the restaurant scene has changed dramatically over the years. I'm going to have to check these places out.

If you go to Waffle House and order anything but the All Star Special, you are a sociopath.

I wasn’t that impressed with the vintage tbh. Not bad at all, just didn’t really strike me as anything I need to eat again. Place is cool though

Just give me a bacon egg and cheese biscuit from Bet-R and I’m good

The food is hit or miss, IMO. The whipped feta appetizer is phenomenal though.

Merchant. I think its chicken though, not steak. They do a good brunch, as does Curbside.

I’m being facetious, but seriously I can’t go there and not get the All Star Special.
