Best bratwurst in baton rouge

Where can I find a place to buy the best bratwurst in the baton rouge area? Johnsonville is ok in a pinch, but am looking for something better.

You are right, johnsonville is just ok. I have yet to find anything here in BR that is close to what to grew up on as a kid in Wis. Whole Foods has some choices that might fill your need. Also it might be worth a trip to Metairie and Dorgnac's, they have a decent selection of german imported sausages. I am not sure if Calandro's on perkins has much to offer.

Albertsons here carries Dietz and Watson brats. Pretty good

Think I will try these out. Wish a local BR meat market sold their own, but I guess between andouille and boudin, they make enough sausages.
