I have a tremendously cool story bros. I fired up the Weber last night and grilled burgers for the first time in ages. 85/15 fresh ground. Salt and pepper. 6 oz. patties with the divet in the middle to keep from blowing up. Baked some center cut bacon. After the flip I added Kraft American Cheese (yeah, I said it!) and the bacon. Served on King Hawaiian buns with aioli with a touch of Crystal hot sauce.

I won't say it was better than Curbside, but it reminded me how freaking good a burger can be. Beer battered fried asparagus made a great sub for french fries.

And yes...I'm fat.

Sounds delicious, I love me some Kings Hawaiian buns for burgers. I like to toast them on the grill a little

Eaten at burgersmith and it's good but I don't think it is the best. Akasha has a pretty mean burger. I'm going to try George's, Twin Peak, J Alexanders and Curbside on this list first.

Thanks for helping

Akasha and Roul's are the only right answers.

Used to be my # 1 place for burgers in Baton Rouge, until they went frozen patty.

Are they back now to using fresh ground meat, cooked to order?

It has been a while since I went to the one in BR. So maybe not? Never knew any of the locations switched to the frozen patty. Dern.

I gave them two chances (quite some time ago) and both times, I was served a frozen puck. This was at the Baton Rouge location.

OTOH, they have the best chicken fried steak in town. Just have to ask for it.

Superior has always had my favorite burger in town. I went recently and something wasn't right about it though. Maybe it was a frozen patty.

Could be. Felt like I was being served a kid's hamburger (because most restaurants often serve that crap as opposed to fresh ground beef).

My kid got one at the Shreveport Superior, and my husband took a bite (I was not in attendance). He said it was the best burger he's had in a while, and huge. I would like to think the BR location got back with the program and is not serving a frozen burger.

I am partial to Brewbachers and Downtown Seafood.
