Heading to Mississippi tomorrow and my bro wants to pick up some beer, preferably local stuff he cant get here in Texas, on the way. Any good supermarkets/liquor stores easily accessible near 12? We know red, white, and brew in Hammond but that isnt all that close to 12.

Thanks in advance

Not my top choice...

Honestly, if you're willing to go that far off the interstate, just detour to Calandros

If you get off at airline, whole foods isn't too far. Or the beverage store on florida.

Yeah but I think the goal is to be past B.R. asap before traffic becomes a problem.

My top choice if you want full packs of everything (not individual)

Google maps says 10 minutes. I don't live over there so I have no earthly idea if that's accurate or feels accurate.

All suggestions are welcomed as we will probably get the beer whenever we stop for lunch, and who knows where we will be at that time.

I made the drive once and it seemed like forever...Probably better after you know where you are going

No doubt there.

Might be a Rouses right there in Mandeville. Can't speak for their selection, but judging by all the other locations you should find what you need.

Rouses at Juban has a pretty good selection too...Pretty much everything "local"...

Honestly, it would be your quickest in and out of everything so far

It would add about 15 minutes or so (plus time spent in the store) to your trip.

I always try to hit this place up when I'm in the area. I've found some nice things lingering there. Late last year I found a couple bottles of Cantillon Gueuze just chilling in the cooler that had probably been there a couple months based on when the same bottles hit BR. I've also found some good Fantomes there too that had long been sold out elsewhere in the state.

Outside of special release beers (on what they did with Ghost) the price is Co parable elsewhere. Some things may be a dollar more.

The new Rouses on Juban past Denham is as solid as you can get, can throw a rock at it from the interstate
