Pimanyoli's is extremely overrated.

Best bbq i've had in BR came from my patio.

I'm partial to Jay's On Government Street but they're not open on Sundays.

Pimanyoles, but I don't think it's open on Sundays.

And no it's not overrated.

Louisiana is too close to Texas for good pork BBQ.

I agree...I've never liked their BBQ, I thought it was kinda nasty. About the only thing worth a flip on their menu is the burger, and you can get a good burger almost anywhere.

I'll wait for someone to say how great Pimanyoli's nasty arse weird tasting world famous tamales are too. Pimanyoli's have super nice owners and nice employees, but it is very much overrated.

Is the Podnuh's on Bluebonnet still open? That's horrible BBQ too.

Sonny's is the correct answer, I guess.

The people who like pimanyole's are the people that will like anywhere someone tells them is good. It's like a bandwagon phenomenon. They'll never have a bad experience at "the best ________ in br"
