^ That.
I haven't checked many local bakeries, but I find my brioche buns and potato buns at Fresh Market. They had a really good pack of brioche buns on sale for like $2 for 6 last week.

I buy the loaf at Whole Foods, slice and toast for a bun. My kids make French toast out of the rest. It is a classic recipe although not a classic shape.
It isn't too hard to make. Find the King Arthur or Americas Test Kitchen recipe and try it.

The target in Dallas has a good selection of buns. You might check there. Fresh Market is a good suggestion as well.
