Best and worst things about eating pistachios

I buy mine in shell, roasted and salted.
Best: finding loose pistachios in the bowl/bag. These are even saltier and tastier than usual.
Worst: eating the last pistachio. ETA: getting to the last pistachio and realizing it's not already opened.

Best--they are awesome
Worst--when I start to eat them, I can't stop. I will try to eat just a handful then end up eating 5.

I love pistachios but the worst is every once in a while there will be a bad one. A bad pistachio leaves a nasty taste even if you spit it out.

True story
I was in a bar a few years back and the good looking chick bartender put a bowl of nuts on the counter. Without looking to see what they were, I grabbed a handful put them in my mouth and crunched down. They were pistachios still in the shell. The bartender had a WTF look on her face. I tried to play it off and told her that I always eat pistachios that way. My mouth was bleeding.

Worst: The price has sky rocketed. I used to get a 5lb bag in college from Sam's for $10 now it's $21 at Costco for 3lbs

I heard that with the sanctions lifted on Iran the price of pistachios might go down. Apparently they grow a lot of them there. That needs to hurry up and happen.

That's supposed to have been happening for over a year now.
And everyone saying they're ridiculous prices, buy in bulk. Much cheaper by the pound than pre packed.

Yeah but that was like a long time ago. Gas used to be $1.50/gallon also...
Worst: When using my front beaver teeth to crack open sometimes the shell will poke the back of my gums and it will hurt a little bit.
