My beer fridge sits in my outdoor patio. It is closed in but no A/C, just a fan.
Recently placed some Grace and Grit and Brightside on the top shelf and I've had both turn malty on my.
Curious as to why this happened as the fridge doesn't get opened unless I'm drinking and stays a constant temp. I've never had this problem before, so not sure why this happened.

Sad beer fridge is sad, and as an electrician I can say this

No really if the fridge is keeping temp it doesn't matter where it's at

What is the proper temperature for a beer fridge?

I always put all my beer on the bottom shelves. I do not like putting anything on the door as it opens swings and shakes it up?

Mine usually stays at 55-60 degrees according to the temp gauge I have in it.

Will try that thought it was maybe being by the light that ruined them. As I've had Envie and other hoppy beers do just fine in the fridge.

Mine is set to around 45*
Hell I usually don't put my stouts in the fridge unless I'm going to drink them within the next couple days

I have a few in the fridge but most of the ones I'm saving are in the closet with my sours, away from any sunlight

Bought a new thermostat and my fridge is 36 degrees. Moved all lighter beers to the bottom and stouts and porters to the top rack and door

No way in hell I could open that fridge and not reorganize it. I have to have labels all the same facing forward and no crooked beers like the top left.

Does the light turn off when you shut the door? The only real way to find out is to climb inside and pull the door closed.
