What is the boards opinions on Oysters in Baton Rouge? Been awhile for me but I've done the usual. Parrains, Phil's, Jolie, Mike Andersons and Roux.

All still quality? Parrains used to do 1/2 price Tuesday's I believe

Roux 61 does 1/2 price on Tuesdays. Had them a couple weeks ago for lunch, they were good & big. Manager said they get them from a supplier in the area on the east side of the Mississippi river.

They were beautiful at Parrains this past week, but I don’t know if they do the special anymore. I don’t think Chimes does either, but again I could be wrong.

Phils does a special on Mondays, but you have to get there at basically 5pm or expect to wait.

$1 oysters at Phil’s on Mondays.

Went last week and they were decent size and tasted pretty good. The water is warming up in a hurry so get your oyster eating in.

This is what you need search Oyster and they have all the happy hour specials. Eat it with month that has R. But when the weather is colder it's better.

Wow I recall when Phil’s had special on Oysters at 25 cents each. I’ve since moved from BTR to Lafayette and can say that a trip to Abbeville this time of year to Shucks or Dupuy’s for oysters is oyster Mecca.
