How did serranos go out of business?

Not sure if I want to step inside?

Because it sucked. Barcadia is going to absolutely kill there.

They've got the best chicken wings and burgers in Baton Rouge. OK beer selection. It's worth going there.

Arguably the best burger. I can think of several in the same ballpark.

Would rather a burger from Raoul's, Mason's or George's.

Serrano's had bad food at crazy prices. It was really only good on game days and for private parties. Barcadia is absolutely sick. The food is fantastic, the beer selection isn't bad, and the arcade games really top it off. Try going in there on a weekday between 4-7 for half price food. The burgers do not disappoint and neither do the wings.

Raoul's

Love their burger and the price. Barcadia's product is completely different. Raul's only offers American cheese and limiting toppings choices. Definitely hits its own spot with the burger topped with chicken schwarma.

Mason's

I've never eaten there, but I've heard lots of great things. It's on the complete opposite end of town, so Barcadia isn't really competing with it at all.

George's

Disagree. I found George's burgers to just be ok. The patties really could have been much better seasoned.

I thought they sold out and closed due to other business ventures. I could be wrong tho.

The Serranos owners have a piece of Barcadia. Plus, they have a couple of places around town, like Blend and an event space on Third Street.

Checked it out this weekend, Sunday afternoon right about 12:30 The place wasn't packed but most of the tables were taken. They had only one waitress and the hostess told us up front that it would be slow. The burgers were good. We ordered the nachos and had to send them back, they dropped the chips into cold grease and they just soaked it all up and were wet and not at all crunchy. The guacamole was also rancid, tasted like it was made 3 days before. Truly inedible. Again, burgers were good, though. Played a few games for fun. I wont be going back, if I want a burger I will just hit up Brewbachers closer to my house. Not quite as good but I prefer Brewbacher's fries, anyway. If I really wanted a Barcadia burger then I could just find Curbside. I will say that the nachos were an execution issue, the chicken and sauce on them tasted fantastic. However, add that into having only one server on staff and why should I return? If I read more rave reviews then I may consider it.
