Was in the LA/MS area over the holidays and stopped for lunch at Middendorf's on the way to the NO airport. Really liked their banana bread pudding; anyone have their recipe or one similar?

If the recipe thread isn't acting up I have one for a banana and roasted pecan one that is damn good.

I'll have to rustle up some whenever the cookbook is safe to upload again.

Why would anybody despoil a fine bread pudding with so foul a fruit as bananas?

Jim, I like regular Bread Pudding with a good hard sauce, but this was tasty too. BTW, regular banana pudding, made with real custard, is also one of my favorites and one of the South's most traditional desserts.
