Myself and 5 of my friends are going on a group dove hunt in Hondo Texas next weekend and will be going out in SA afterwards. Where are some solid choices for steakhouses in the $$$ range?

Bohanan's Steakhouse or Luke
Go to Chris Madrids for a burger
Definitely go to John T Flores Country Store in Helotes for a beer and see who's playing.

I'm not sure if this is up to snuff for your occasion but I'm going to tell you where I had two excellent meals with clients.
Bohanan's Prime Steak and Seafood. My bone in ribeye was outstanding.
This recommendation is off the beaten path and not in that tourist trap area. Before you leave town I would go eat at Pollos Asados Los Nortenos. Those half chickens they serve cooked over mesquite was so damn good. We ordered a platter of several meats for the whole table and I found it to be unique and tasty. I'm pretty sure that a lot of locals go eat there.

I prefer Perry's over Bohannan's but both are very good.
