The wife and I might check it out tomorrow. The pics and menu on their Facebook page look promising. I'm happy to have another seafood joint in the area besides LT's.

Haven't been yet, but I met the owner and got to see the place a few months ago. Looks like it has great potential.

I think his family is from the Crowley area. He said he would be sourcing his crawfish from the 3,000 acres his family owns.
ETA: I see it says 3,000 acres on one of the pictures, but I really was telling you from memory what he said! He's young, has been to culinary school and also graduated from LSU (if memory continues to serve me).

He also mentioned plate lunches, although I don't see that on the menu.

Hmmm. I'm not a crawfish at a restaurant eater, but this places has potential. I may check if out tomorrow night.

This place, Billeaud's, Nash's, BJ's (Old Tyme Grocery), Ton's, Morvant's, Young's Sports Bar, Shade Tree Cafe (haven't tried yet) all within 1/2 mile of each other if not closer

Thanks to this thread, I took the family to Hook and Boil last night for dinner and it was great, especially considering it's only been open a week. The seasoning they use on the fried fish and shrimp is nice and my wife enjoyed the étouffée. I like the simple menu of quality choices (much better than LT's IMO)
I think it will do well here and may be our new go to spot.
