Just found out we are getting one here in Savannah. I have never heard of them but think they are kind of like Trader Joes. Their motto is organic for the 99%.

There's a Lucky's chain out here in CA. Not sure if it's the same chain but it's not a bad grocery store.

It's nothing special either though.

Looks darn close. Apparently this Lucky's was started in Boulder and the CA one in Berkeley.

From what I understand the one out of CA is more or a traditional grocery chain and the one out of CO is more of a Trader Joe's clone.

We've got one in Columbia (MO) and I love it. It is closer to Trader Joe's than a regular grocery store, but if you were in a pinch or have a higher than average income (at least for here) you could get everything you need there.

I don't buy a lot of prepackaged things there, but their fruits and veggies are, without a doubt, the best in town and there are several items each week that are cheaper than Aldi. Here's this week's ad: Ad

They do have some private label items (which are typically a pretty solid deal--pasta sauce is great when you don't want to cook yourself) but most of their pre-packaged foodstuffs are other organic/higher-end brands.

Best part, and I do mean best part about Lucky's is they have a bar where they've got 5 or 6 beers on tap, all either local or nationally-known microbreweries, and you can get a draft for $2 to drink while you shop. Second best is their smoked bacon chunks in their salad bar, and third best is their tuna steaks (not a lot of great seafood here in MO unless you count catfish).

Let me know if you have any other questions, because I go there all the time; it's really a great grocery store and I think you'll really like it.

Yep, they ask if you want a cupholder for your cart

Edited to add: I do live in MO though, home of the Busch family, and we have some pretty lax liquor laws here, so it's possible that might not be OK in some states.
