Patron's Mexican Restaurant. Opened in the same place the old Times Grill shut down back in April?? Anybody been yet? Heard it opened really recently..Anything to set it apart from the normal Tex-Mex restaurants? Even if it's just badass drink specials??

you're right.. Times Grill was there for about 10 or so years maybe a little longer.. But i don't think hey had all that construction going on. I actually worked there when it was Times (about four years before it closed down).. killed it at lunch (must be all the businesses) hit or miss at night..

We went to Times grill about a year ago for a Monday night football game. There literally was 5 people at two separate tables in the entire place. This was at 7:35 or so.

The Times Grill got their butt handed to them by Rum House/ all the new burger joints in BR/Olive or Twist. I remember eating there for dinner around Christmas and a whole medical office staff was there, all these women in scrubs. You know when they all went out the next year, they were at Rum House or Olive or Twist.

That is because, if you were staying to watch the entire game, you can forget it. They would basically push you out the door at 9:45, but advertise beer specials for MNF. One of the reasons we quit going there for MNF.

I live near this location. I figure Times grill went out of business because I ate there a handful of times and never got anything that was very good. Sometimes it's just because of unremarkable food and not location.

I just wish Bamboo Garden was still there.

Not to de-rail but I really miss that place too. Their buffet kinda sucked but ordering off the menu was really good.

Let me guess, they have the same exact menu as every other fake authentic copycat place in the southeast?

We went there tonight and enjoyed it. I had the polo funduido (sp) and the mrs has the chicken enchiladas supreme. Everything was cooked well and the staff was nice.

My family went yesterday and the menu was typical of the other Tex Mex restaurants around BR. The food was pretty good if not spectacular. The service was great but we were the only people in the place at 2:00 on a Sunday.
