My fiancée and I can't get enough of this restaurant. Yes, we are Asian but we are both raised in Louisiana and this shite is legit. We have seriously gotten it at least once a week for the past 3 months. No joke.
Everything on the Chinese menu is good. Sushi is ok but I don't go there for sushi. Get the chong quing spicy chicken and spicy cumin beef. For veggies the string beans are good. The steam flounder is delicious for a lighter fare.
Yeah the inside is a little quiet and drab. But the food more than makes up for it. Great service and people too!

The Garlic Sauce Eggplant is my jam. As is their [MUCH better] version of Sesame Chicken.

Yep. Love the Black Pepper Beef and Garlic Sauce Eggplant as well. Everything I've tried has been great.

How are the prices, and would it be weird if I went there to eat by myself? I live a couple hundred yards away

Do they have the Chinese long beans? I like those steamed with peppers and lemon but they are hard to find.

The prices are great for what you get, but if you go alone, one item will fill you up...
So if you want variety, go with a few people. The dishes are large enough to be family style. I assume they're intended to be.

The sweet and sour pork is delicious as well.

I second the sweet and sour pork and the spicy cumin beef. Both of those are awesome

Omi is really good. It was my #1 go to Chinese for a couple of years until I tried Nine Dragon Noodle House off Highland and Lee. If you like Omi give them a shot.

I've been there more than 10 times and never had a bad meal.
More people need to know about this place, but I am glad they dont

Really? I got take out last night and pretty much once a week for the past two months and not noticed any drop in quality. Maybe its because I stick to the same 6 dishes but I find the quality very consistent.

There is an eggplant dish on the menu that has a thin, fried coating like the garlic sauce eggplant has, but is then tossed in the same spice mix as the chong uing spicy chicken. It's incredible.
