Sakaya assuming the old Brewski's location

It's not certain if they're moving from Abbeville or opening up a second location, but congratulations Lafayette for getting a sixth "Japanese" restaurant within blocks of each other (Samuri, Shinto, Tsubaki, Sarku, Tokyo, and now Sakaya). When I get over there I can't wait to try all the fake crab rolls drizzled with aioli. Mmm, mmm, mmm.....

I thought this faux Japanese fad would have been over a decade ago.

You forgot a few, Fiji, Formosa, Lotus Garden, Sakura. Didn't realize how many there were in the area since I don't eat sushi very often

Oh of course there's more in the city. I was just talking walking distance from each other. I suppose you could toss Pho Saigon into that mix because they do sushi too, so that would make seven within blocks.

Yea, I'm late to the party (like Count Chocula said). Just got into sushi around 2 years ago. Wow, they're right by Samurai/Tokyo.
