My wife wants an air fryer for Christmas. I have been doing research and the Phillips appears to be the best but at 300.00 for something she may or may not use more than 1 time is expensive.

Has anyone had any experiences with these things before? If so what are some good brands to look at besides Phillips?

How is it any different than just using a convection oven?

Buy one off of QVC, you'll get a much better deal than $300.00

I've seen them on there for less than half that price.

They actually use oil but it is very little.

We were given a Phillips as a wedding gift. We've done anything from frozen French fries to Toaster strudel so far, and it says you can do a lot more. Pretty handy little thing so far and no mess.

I'm curious about this topic , as well.
Anyone use one? How's the crust/crsipness? Can fish be breaded per the usual process and achieve good results?

Pros and cons?
