I noticed that I still have a couple floating around the back of my fridge from probably a couple of years ago. I don't drink soda, but I do use them to cook with (carrots, glazed pork, etc). If they weren't bottles, I'd toss them, and I did a search for Abita customer service but couldn't really find a contact for my question.

What you say? Give it a smell / taste? Toss em and spend another few bucks? Good for use? I'm not sure what to expect from soda after a couple of years.

Open one and taste it? It might not be perfect but should still work for a glaze.

For anyone curious, I did finally call Abita. When I posed the question, the guy said that honestly did not know, but if you ask anyone in retail, they'll tell you it has a five month resale life, which doesn't mean it's necessarily going to be bad after that. He went on to say that it's all natural ingredients though.

I'm probably going to simply purchase a few more bottles. Would hate to ruin an entire main course over a bottle of soda.
