Food and Bev is my department

You don't have to tell me who you know though ;) I've probably met him unless he is strictly food (i.e. head chef, etc.)

I ate here last night, with a couple of friends for my buddy's birthday. We went to some of the football game and decided to head over for a late dinner. We thought we had arranged reservations at the last minute, but apparently didn’t. We had about a 30 minute wait for a table. The waitress said she was a little confused about how people were being seated because they had plenty of table space in the restaurant.

Lots of crown ahead of time makes the meal a little fuzzy. We had the seafood tower for an appetizer which had shrimp, king and snow crab, oysters and ceviche. IT was ok, but not worth the $24 per person. I had the lamb which I think was the loin, boneless and sliced. Very good. Another friend had speckled trout, it might have had crabmeat on top but I didn’t look too close and the other had had a filet with crabmeat and a sauce. We ordered asparagus and potatoes to share. Everyone enjoyed the meal and they sent out a chocolate dessert that was chocolate 18 different ways. The above and a couple of bottles of wine ran ~$350.

3 of us, we had about $100 or so in wine and $75 for the seafood tower, which was the only thing that I would not get again. It was just underwhelming...

Spinoff. Went to their Sports Bar (Stsdium Club) on Saturday. My buddy and I arrived around 12:45, told them we needed a table for 16 or 2 tables for 8. The little brunette told me no tables without at least 4 of the party present. Offered to let her talk to my crew that were on their way with 4 more, 10 minutes away. Flat out, very rudely, rejected me, and basically said tough shiite. So, by 1:00 people have piled in, and all the tables are gone. Called Pluckers, they said they would have a table waiting, and we took our money (and we spent a lot, considering how bad the game was) down the road. Had great service, decent food (good wings) and better viewing of the game. And they lost the gamblers in our group that were planning on going to the casino afterwards. Cest la vie

The sports bar sucks, the food is just over the top in a bad way. The "bayou teche" is one of the worst creations known to man

I'm sure there were about 200 other folks just like you willing to take your place and lose that whole $20.

Ok, so I made that post half jokingly.

I hate casino restaurants. Almost never worth the 15 to 20% upcharge to eat at a casino place.

In defense of the hostess, they probably have pretty strict rules set up by the corporate folks on situations like this. On a busy day, they aren't going to want to give out all of those seats with very few of the group there.
