During a normal year, the U.S. Geological Survey would take measurements at Baton Rouge by traversing the river by boat about 18 times a year. However, historically high water levels in the river have meant that a crew has been making boat-based measurements almost every day, said Scott Perrien, USGS hydrologist.

Foxnews was talking about riding along with USGS as they measured flow rates on the river. Being a good OTer, I immediately wondered if ScottieP was going to be on national TV. I felt as if I knew the guy!!

With you and Todd making the paper in the same article, I think it would only be fitting to have a USGS hydrologist face-off at pre-gate later this summer.
