Yeah, I think I saw that yesterday when driving back to NOLA. They had a truck and two guys out there at the time.

Even when the spillway is not open, that whole section of track would leave me nervous. Just looks pretty crappy.

holy shite I read an article earlier that said an engineer felt a rough ride, but didn't know it was that bad. CN, must not be inspecting that bridge enough..

Doesn't surprise me. That water was rolling through there when I passed this weekend. Damn white water rapids entering Lake Ponchatrain.

This. If I did not see trains running there, I'd think it was an abandoned line.

My buddy has worked for CNR for 2 years and I told him that I would love to ride the tracks from Hammond to NO with him in his truck. He replied "Oh Hell no you wouldn't"!! He said that part that washed away is the worst of all and that some parts around Ruddock are big time scarey! He said makes him nervous everytime he drives down it.
