This is a picture of my grandfather in 1942. Could anyone help clean this up? It would be greatly appriciated. This is for a christmas present for my father.

Thanks in advance!

After...

Merry Christmas to you and your family. I hope your father enjoys this. I lost my father earlier this year and am happy to do this for you.

That is amazing! Thank You for taking the time to do this, you have no idea how much it will mean for my dad to sit and have a beer with his old man again! Thanks a million!!!!!

Thank You Both..Catahoula and NC_Tiga!!!!
Both images are great and I will use Both!

Catahoula,
Merry Christmas to you and yours as well, and I am sorry for your loss, I will keep you and your family in my prayers.

The story behind this...
My dad likes to sit in his shop and drink beer in the evenings, and sometimes my brother and I will join him. For christmas I made him a Pub Table for him to sit at. I will put this picture of my grandfather in the center and all of us kids and grandkids around the table, then I will cover it with clear epoxy.

I could repair it in its black and white, but the color addition that NC did is truly amazing.

I think my dad will have the same reaction, I can't wait to give it to him! And I cannot thank these folks enough for helping me with the photos!

I challenge Kjun Tiga and everyone else who reads this to do something nice for a complete stranger this holiday season.

I've read about doing this kind of thing but never acted on it. Well...this time I did something about it by restoring the photo for you. And I have absolutley no idea who you are!

My work obviously made you happy and undoubtedly will make other members of your family happy too. NC Tigah did the same thing and used his amazing talent to take your photo over the top. The actions from two of us has obviously affected many of you positively. Amazing!

If everyone else here, who has been moved by this event, does something else nice to other strangers, it can really have a good effect for others.

I know all this sounds corny, but this whole thing has made me feel good too. I've been a little sad lately since this is going to be the first Christmas without my father. Your positive reaction to my work is my reward and I feel very good about this. Thanks.

So go do something nice for a stranger this week. Your help to him or her will come back to you sooner or later!

Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah to all!

Catahoula
