I dint take you for a smoker

I'm not - It's just a really unique item. I have some other antique ivory pieces it fits in with. The coolest thing about it is the fact that you can see the little indentations made by years of biting on it. And the dragon design (with its tiny onyx eye) is pretty cool, too.

For the record - Greta Garbo's is nothing like the long black plastic Cruella DeVille style (that I enjoy, apparently)...

A couple of my friends refer to it as "Greta Garbo's One-Hitter" (whatever that means).

Oh so scary tough guys, what a bunch of assclowns. Check their whereabouts in 5 years. Either locked up or covered up, book it.

The Fountainhead is one of my all-time favorite novels. It reinforced some of my personal philosophies. When someone asks me what the book is about I tell them "being awesome." Most think I am joking but I am not. It about setting your own standards for excellence and then obstinately refusing to compromise those ideals.

Simply, define Awesome. Then, be more Awesome.

I know critics discount Rand for being too idealistic. However, many individuals could certainly stand to strive for something greater.

That first edition is an incredible gift.

But see you're thinking rationally. Sadly many players go this way.

EXACTLY.

A 100% total life-affirmation for me. Also - It's one of the few books that I've ever read that when I had finished reading it - I found myself wishing I could meet the central characters in real life.

If you get the standard paperback edition - Be prepared to read about 500 pages or so before it starts to get really interesting.

You look great as KH btw.

I will have to check this book out. I dont find much time to read for pleasure so it has to be a highly recommended bood for me to read it. Is the content different in the paperback?

Ayn Rand really had a phobia with editing. I really liked Atlas Shrugged but I must admit skipping through some of John Galt's speech. I had good intentions of going back and reading the entire speech but never did.

I've been meaning to read Fountainhead, I'll bump it up on my list.
