Would you start Ryan or Stafford at QB this week (2)?

Ryan will have to do some serious work against GB, but they have a better defense than Stafford will face against the Giants. Any chance Stafford gets close to the production hey got last week? Should I just flip a coin?

TIA. I'm a fantasy rookie who just beat the defending league champ in week 1. I'm currently leading the league and want to keep the steak going.

Stafford played a really good defense last week in Arizona and still threw for 4 touchdowns. I think I'd roll with the hot hand.

Ryan had his only touchdown pass on a busted played that went for 88 yards and it was against the Bears.

Not saying roll with Stafford the entire year, but I am saying that Stafford seemed more dialed in than Ryan in Week 1

I'd start Stafford and agree with the post above on the reasons why. Stafford will typically throw 250+ yds a game since they are a pass heavy team.

I'd go Stafford as well.

Matt Ryan and it isn't close, IMO.

Let's not get carried away with one week. The Giants have much better defensive personnel than the Packers, and Ryan comes back home to the turf in Atlanta.

I lean Ryan. Stafford had a big game last week but it basically all came in the 4th quarter. I think he has a fine matchup this week and could certainly have a good week, but I wouldn't expect a similar performance as last week.

Ryan plays a good GB defense, but it's also a GB team with a potent offense against an ATL defense that's not great. I expect this to either be a close game that's a shootout, giving Ryan an opportunity for a bunch of yards. Or for GB to be up, forcing ATL to throw it a lot to come back.

That's not to mention that Ryan is the better fantasy QB in general. I'd go with him this week.

Thanks for all the replies. I was leaning Ryan because, as stated above, that game will likely be a shoot out and he'll put up good numbers. But I know if I don't play Stafford and he balls out again I'm gonna kick myself. Deciding between these 2 is definitely a good problem to have and looking at my matchups i should do fine with either. Thanks for the help.

Nope. The giants have a pretty filthy defense, don't be fooled by Seattles chicken shite offensive line

Lets look at the data:

Green Bay allowed almost 2 passing touchdowns per game last year, 8 yards per attempt, 285 yards per game, and a 65% completion percentage. Russell did just shite the bed but they always start slow and I'm willing to trust the data here.

The Giants allowed less than 1 touchdown a game last year, 6 yards per attempt, 58% completion percentage, and 0.34 points per attempt. All below average.

The Falcons are at home and Lions are on the road.

I'm starting Matt Ryan here.

Others have stated stats, so I will just add since you're new to this that both players are hot and cold and wildly inconsistent. Ryan's year last year was an outlier. Both players play better at home, so in a week when both are playing comparable defenses, try to go with the one at home. Plus, in this case, look for the biggest possibility of a shootout. That is obviously the Falcons and Packers. It's Ryan here IMO.
