Too late to change it now, if you're thinking of doing that.

Points is the only way to go. It's the truest method of measuring a teams worth. The head to head could've been when one team had multiple bye weeks.

This is the argument. It's come down to this week for two guys to win their division, one has scored more points (by far), but if the other guy wins both have the same record and he has swept the guy with the most points. Either way, they are both going to make the playoffs, but one will the the 1 and the other 3.

I'm sure I don't need to say this, but most leagues decide these kinds of issues before the season starts. If you have an online manager-CBS or Yahoo--that question should be filled in under league details/rules. We have CBS. It says:

quote:

Standings Tiebreaker Ties in the standings are resolved in this order: Winning Percentage, Total Points, Head to Head Record.
Division Winner Tiebreaker Ties for division winner are resolved using standings tiebreakers

Well, he should have made a case BEFORE the season started or pretty early in the season at least. Settings are out there for everyone to see.

I understand that points is a better indicator of which team is better.....but why have points decide a tiebreaker for rankings that were determined from head to head matchups?

Seems like if you have league rankings decided by head to head matchups week in and week out....let those matchups decide tiebreakers too.

Because most points is a better indication of who had the better season.
