What round does Michael Thomas go in next year?

He's clearly firmly entrenched as the saints #1. TDs could regress, but maybe not since he is currently far and away the best RZ threat in the offense so the looks will still be there.
round 3?
round 3?

End of round 2 or early 3 for me.

any surprising names you'd rank him over?
I'd need to see what happens at a few QB spots, but looking at the list I wouldn't be shocked to see him creep up in the mid to late 2nd once the hype gets going

3rd or 4th PPR
ETA: could be the 2nd if he has a couple of good preseason games and the hype train gets going

Wasn't sure that the hype was going to be this high. If it continues then he may end up being poor value if everyone wants to try to grab him in the 2nd. He's legit and a big reason that I won this year, but I don't think that I want to buy him that high.

Evans
Brown
OBJ
Julio
Green
Jordy
Hilton
Are going ahead of him. I think we will go towards the top of this tier
Dez
Cooks
Cooper
Baldwin
Demaryius
Looks like mid to late 2nd rounder to me. Maybe early 3rd.

I agree, price tag might swell to the point that I'm not willing to take him. Especially since most of my leagues are full of Saints fans.

there were 7 WRs better than him this year, as a 23 y/o rookie
Unless you expect Drew Brees to fall off a cliff
Brees leads the NFL in comp, att, yards, TDs over the past 3 years and it's not close. No one has feasted like Mike Thomas will since Jim Graham

damn.
Better question, where does Cooks go now?

I think id lay Cooks in the 3rd-4th, as a whole his numbers are good, but too much week to week inconsistencies imo
I dont see how Thomas makes it out of the 2nd, I could see him in the 1st even. I mean, what did we just learn this season? Hopkins w an ADP of 1.6, Arob 1.9, Juice Landry 3.3, DT88 3.6 -- these guys were all drafted as top 30 players -- all great players, but QBs did not put them in positions to succeed.
Then I ask, doesn't Mike Thomas have the talent (check!) and the most steady, productive QBs of the last decade throwing him the ball? Seems like a minimal risk pick with huge upside, as Id bet those 92/1137 isn't his ceiling. I also dont see why he can't catch double digit TDs like Graham did on multiple occasions.

both were all over thomas in the saints draft thread brah
I think some are assuming he's similar to colston, will be consistent for you but not a weekly winner, but he's a more talented WR than colston

Def better hands than Marcus. I would hope that Thomas could absorb some of the hits Colston used to take and still maintain possession.
Mike Thomas was already Brees fav target towards the last half of the season, IMO. Most polished rookie receiver I've seen in a while.

And remember, he was considered somewhat of a "project" coming out of tOSU. They didn't air it out and he was still a bit raw in some areas. He seems like a very hard worker so I think he only goes up from here

Biggest factor for some leagues. He will probably be the 6th or 7th WR taken in my traditional draft league. Will probably go for $40 to $50 in my Auction league ($200 Budget).

boy Nuk sure has fallen quite a bit in people's minds already , I'm still a believer in his talent level (you too A Rob). He was the rd 1 WR I had the most concerns about going in.
Anyway, of that tier I absolutely take Thomas over Baldwin, Thomas, and Cooks. It gets dicey with Dez and Cooper....Dez just isn't going to get the looks in that offense, so I may have to give Thomas the edge. Cooper I just can't figure out man.

Can't believe too many rankings sites are gonna have Crabtree down below Cooper again next year. Those days are probably done. Looks like It'll be time to find the next WR who is underrated by 15 spots.

Agree, but I think I would take him over TY.

I'd say aim for the 5th-6th rounds depending on how many people are in the league. There's only about 10 guys I'd take over him right now though, he's clearly going to be our #1 going forward.
Posted on 1/11/17 at 4:28 pm to BilJ
I wouldn't draft him if I were you guys. He's my keeper and our league has a keeper curse going on 4 or 5 years now.
