I know it's only June and so much can happen between now and the start of the year. I get it, but I'm bored at work and noticed the football draft kits were released.

Who would you pick as the final keeper mentioned below...

Current keepers: Brees, Graham, McCoy, and Julio

Pick one: Decker, Wayne, Seahawks D/ST, Bowe, Mike Wallace

Call me crazy, but I'm leaning towards the Seahawks D/ST.

What do you say?

Non-PPR BTW

Without knowing what you lose by keeping, I'd rank them:

Wallace
Bowe
Wayne
Seahawks D/ST
Decker

Defenses are not worth keeping

Dwayne Bowe. He has put up good numbers with a crap QB, and now they have two solid tackles to provide protection. You will see his numbers rise this year

Wallace or Wayne. Wayne if you are looking for more value for this year, or Wallace if you are looking for long term keeper I guess, though neither are really what I would consider long term keepers.

5 keepers is ridiculous.

A great defense puts up more points than most WR2s, and are usually pretty cheap to keep.

Defenses change too much year to year. They are usually inconsistent in their scoring too, even the good ones. The numbers are there at the end but its usually the result of 2 or 3 huge games and a bunch of single digit games.

You will always have the opportunity to grab the D you want after you fill out your core players. You may have to reach a bit but if you really like that D it's no big deal to you

That wr who consistently puts up points every week is not guaranteed to be there

Eta: if I'm picking its Reggie Wayne. Easily.

Notice I ranked most of the mentioned players above the defense.

I'd say Bowe or Wallace.

Would have said Wayne if it was a PPR league.

I left him off because i think his situation has gotten worse going to miami, while Bowe and Wayne's has improved. I prefer guys with upside going into the season. And i hate to waste a keeper on a guy in a questionable situation.

Wayne is probably the safest bet, but his td numbers were kinda low if i remember correctly. He's also another year older.

* I just started doing my 2013 homework so i might change my mind when i look into it further.

Tannehill can sling. Expect a good year from that duo.

FWIW
Early ADP is:
Bowe 4.09
Wayne 5.01
Wallace 5.07

All pretty close. I dont think you'd go wrong with any of the 3. Just stay away from the Defense and Decker.

I don't let the way a bunch of yoohoos on ESPN dictate the way I draft.

Wayne or Wallace. I lean more Wayne because he will get more looks.

I'd rather them than a group of individuals who try and purposely injure/ruin other NFL players careers for a couple thousand bucks.
