Guys, I'm sorry. I hate this league. I can't get into it. I should have done my homework before I joined. You have my money already; I won't ask for it back. I doubt I will ever be active.

I hear you... but I shot myself in the foot to start out. I'll do it again next season if it happens but I feel pretty helpless to do much this season.

I do like the roto style though.

Same. Matchups are fun, but I like not having to face a guy who happens to have an ERA of sub 1 on a random week.

I also made the league entry fee only $25 because I did not want anyone to have a terrible draft and not really have a chance to compete if they just bid huge on the first five superstars.

Yeah, I would like to keep this going. I am fine with anywhere from 10-14 (preferably 12+) players and everyone currently in this league would of course get the first chance at returning.

I think the only changes that I would definitely want to make next year are to switch from OBP to OPS and do something else instead of just saves. I think K is fine due to the fact that we have an innings pitched limit. K/1500 works just as effectively as K/9.

Of course, things such as keep or switching Yahoo (I would stay with a free league), league entry fee, and other shite would all be up for discussion.

FAAB budget. The race to the waiver wire to pick up the next pitcher named a teams closer is out of hand. IMO

I could see where this works. However, I do the like the fact that players can be added and inserted into lineups immediately.

I definitely want to see what stat categories are available to possibly improve on saves. It seems so fluky. Hell, I drafted Brian Wilson and I bet others on here have had worse luck with closers.

I do want to keep this a 5x5 league at the same time. Of course, the new category would have to be available through Yahoo or ESPN.

Basically, I might agree with FAAB if we keep saves, but it may not be necessary if we do something along the lines of saves + holds - blown saves (I saw Boo suggested this somewhere on here).

IE I can't keep up so I want the rules tailored to level the playing field. Pussification of fantasy baseball IMO

It's just a fluky year w/ closers. I wouldn't overreact & completely eliminate saves. Saves + holds you might as well eliminate saves. Everyone's gonna have 4-5 stud RP racking up s+h. Really devalues having an elite closer. I like the net saves idea. Would really make you think twice about picking up & starting that lower-tier closer.

I drafted 8 closers and still had no luck other than Kimbrel.

Yeah, maybe S-BS would be good. I really do not know where to go with that category, but I want to explore all options.

It seems like the best strategy would be to draft 3-4 low end closers and hope they stick. I want there to be a larger gap between the good and bad closers.

I don't really like S-BS... only because good set-up men can get blown saves but will be unlikely to ever be getting saves.

When the time comes, I will definitely put this up to vote.

There are pros and cons to every type of category involving RP.

For now, I just hope my guys stay healthy-ish and retain their jobs.

you could have FAAB bidding 2-3 times a week, or more.

I think 7 bench players plus a DL is a bit much...

First time I've played with QS instead of Wins and I love it. Wins are just too fluky. What do you mean what about whip ? Do you not want whip ?
