It's not out the realm of possibility. He started off slow last season and still finished with 1500+ total yards and 13 touchdowns. I'm sure you can see why there's optimism/upside surrounding him. I'd rather take Peterson, Charles, McCoy, Bell, Forte, Murray, and maybe a few others over Lacy... but the talent and system is there for him to make the jump into elite status.
It probably won't happen, making that jump to #1, but it certainly can happen.

I just looked it up, and counted 4 games like this.
I miscounted. There were 6 games like that. Youre right, he did have good receiving games in those games.

In any case....I wouldn't want the number 1 pick in this year's draft.
There's not a clear number 1 back this year. You're better off just sitting in the bottom half of a draft and picking off guys like Forte and McCoy who will be in new systems, but will still obviously be the number 1 guys and still catch passes out of the backfield

Arian Foster or Jeremy Hill? Trying to take my LSU bias out of the equation.

I would take Hill over Foster just to save the headache of worrying of when Foster will get injured....and he will....Has yet to play a full season and it keeps you from having to waste a bench spot on Alred Blue.
If Foster stays healthy then he'll be the better back, but like I said, he has yet to do that.
Bernard will take away some catches, but Hill will get all the TDs and more than 80% of the workload. Most likely at least 15-20 carries every week minimum. I would take Hill IMO just because I don't like taking injury prone players, but that's just me, not everyone is like that

Charles and OBJ.
With players this close in ranking I would prefer a RB and a WR instead of 2 WR. Both receivers are very good, but OBJ should have more productive years remaining than Megatron. Usually when it is close I prefer to keep the younger player.
