im not really sure.. i think the "10" i spent on moss was left in bidding spot and i tried to quickly get a bid in on brady.. i bid 60 something and hit enter real quick and that popped up

once someone bids, the clock restarts to 10 to give everyone a chance to match it

it resets every time someone bids on the nominated player.. there is an influx of bidding at first, and then when it gets high it ticks down unless someone gets in a bidding war
