I'm wondering if there is a setting on MFL where you can be allowed to drop bench players who have already played

What would be the purpose here?

Just the changing settings aspect after 3 weeks.

I don't think there's really a pro or con to it.

to add players who havent played yet

boom had jordan reed, late scratch on a sunday night. no replacement on roster (his own fault), in the past in this league he would have been able to drop a bench player and add a guy from the Sunday or Monday night game

well technically the setting was "changed" after like 10 years

pretty much, or until youre in a position like boomy was. no one gains a competitive advantage over another owner, which is why i dont see how anyone wouldnt want it. it could only help you

Gotcha, don't really love the idea of being able to drop someone who has already played to add someone who hasn't.

There are reports everyday on every player. Plan accordingly.

Just trying to restore the settings of this league to as close as it was in the past. I'm not knighting for boomy by any means, but he may have just assumed he could drop a bench guy bc that's how it's been in the past.

In a vaccum the rule itself doesn't really matter much one way or another.

Or you could always go for the option that allows for the most time and information to be gathered. Who wants to make guesses on whether or not a guy will play. When you can choose the other option that waits til we actually know if he will play.

I'm okay with that if you're dropping a guy who hasn't played for another guy who hasn't played.

If it's always been allowed to drop a guy who has already played, then I agree with Gyno,

I'm not a big fan of making Changes during the season. Was more commenting on how one way of doing it is superior to the other.

I could just see it being used other than its intended purpose.

Say I have a guy break his leg in the noon games, I'd drop him and pick up a handcuff/fringe player for the later games.

Gyno is the king of that. He will drop and add someone for the 3pm, sunday night and Monday night games. I dont think there is a reason behind why we did it, it was just what was allowed on the previous site.

It increases your chances of landing a guy who may break out or take over a starting role.

i am the king of being active, yes. it has lead to much success when you put more time and thought into the leagues, while half the league casually pays attention

dont make this about me D. It makes it look like you are trying to come up with reasons to solely slow me down

I'm against being able to drop/add someone who just played. Could circumvent waivers in some situations by doing it.

You can't add guys who have already played. Only drop.
