Speaking after Monday's game, Rays manager Joe Maddon said that Moore (elbow) did not feel a pop in his elbow and did not want to leave Monday's game, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Spin:
Maddon's comment comes as music to the ears of nervous fantasy owners, after Moore left Monday's game in the fifth inning due to a sore left elbow. It's encouraging that Moore wanted to stay in the game, as he'd likely have some idea if he were dealing with a serious injury. All the positivity aside, the situation is still worth keeping a close eye on, as Moore will undergo an MRI on Tuesday. Things are looking up, but he's not yet out of the woods.

fingers crossed.

Tanaka has serious trade value though.

The problem is the vast majority of good young tradeable talent is on non-contenders. I wouldn't get anyone as good as Bryant IMO from a contender for tanaka.

Thought that yesterday after I posted.

Read a lot about Ivan Nova being a "sleeper" or "breakout" candidate before the season....so far, 2 games in, not so much.

He throws straight over the top which gives him a bunch of deception. If his secondaries develop, look out.

Not to piss on your parade, but he does look to be using all arm in his motion.

I've become comfortable with the fact that all pitchers get hurt eventually. I just treat them like a quarter till two hook up. Enjoy them for a short while, but treat them like they're disposable.

I'm not claiming to be an expert. I've just read up a lot when trying to figure out what went wrong with my numerous TJ pitchers.

I know the pitcher. Huge heat. Good downward plain. Looks like he gets good extension to do that. Haven't looked at the numbers but he probably gets a bunch of GBs. His elbow stays low which is good. The rub on him as always been if he can develop anything other than a FB. Worst case is he's the closer of the future in Houston.

Disclaimer: I'm as full as shite as anybody.

ETA: I just looked and he had a 2.33 GO/AO ratio last year, which is huge.

I know there is plenty of customization in Fantrax... someone tell me how to make the live scoring show ERA-WHIP-K/9 in that order and not K/9 first.

Is there a way to search for all players by default?

I like on other sites searching for "Gonzalez" and it shows me every Gonzalez. If they are on a team it shows me whose team. If they are a pitcher it has the pitching stats...if they are batters it show their batting stats.

It feels like it takes an act of congress to search for a player on this site.

Can't. You can search all the Gonzalezes and it will show you all of them, but it will not give you stats. For that you have to go specifically by position.

There really isn't much customization when it comes to your personal preferences. I suggest going to "My Team Preferences" under your "Team" tab. There is some stuff but it doesn't really make any difference as far as user friendliness goes. You can switch from "Period" to "Day" for Live Scoring, but you still have to click "Period" to see your actual score for that week. The only other thing I changed for "Live Scoring" was to see "All Players Playing", which will show your bench guys too.

One of my favorite things on ESPN is that if I type Moore in the player search.... It has a pop up that shows all the guys named Moore AND who owns them....I don't even have to click on them.

And yes I searched for Moore yesterday to see who has a guy needing TJ surgery.
