I'm guessing it was going into Sunday Night baseball and he had to stream someone for a win. The only player he could drop was NS since his game had not started. He picked up Lugo who is a NYM so it makes sense. his other players already played so he could not drop

Not that I need to explain myself to anyone but here goes:
Preface this by saying I was out of town all weekend with very very limited phone access and no internet.
My game came down to who won ERA. I had Lackey he had Cueto same game ending in the 4pm hour, meaning the outcome of that matchup not known in time to pick up guys starting 3PM games. By the time I lost the ERA lead i could only pick up one of the two starters in the Sunday night game and the only way to do that was to drop Syndergaard. Everyone else was locked. The move would have put me through to the next round if it weren't for Rodney in the meantime giving up 3 runs.
I'm not going to apologize to anyone for playing to win this season. I'd do the same thing again in that situation. If I would have been home with all my resources I likely would have made a different move Sunday morning but that wasnt the situation I was in.
As far a LE and Gyno quitting we already knew so no one really cares about that they will be replaced.
I agree that it wasn't ideal but there is my explanation, do with it what you will

i admire the hard decision you made. I would have done the same.
meanwhile you have people selling out for next year in the 1st week of the season in this league. I'd go to war with 15 gadknots anyday of the week.
